So...

Hey there,

I'm sure all of you know by now, but Chobots.net has come to an end. We all had fun at times but in the end the staff were very corrupt and it was losing popularity. However, this is not the end of the Chobots game as we know it. There are already tons of private servers out now where you can play together with your friends. Most of these server owners don't know what they're doing, but there are a few good ones. I won't be linking to any of them however, but you can surely just search and find some to play. Also, there is a new game coming out called Chobotical, which is said to eliminate all corruption and make it a game for the players, where the staff pick no favorites and everyone is able to have fun. Of course, one of the main problems with .net is that it was basically just a struggle for power and higher ranks. However, with Chobotical it can hopefully become a fun game again. If you want to learn more about the game, you can visit the forums. It has been said by an administrator that Chobotical will come out in mid-late July. As for this blog, I will be transforming it into an all-purpose blog for all kinds of Chobots news, with no one game being my focus of attention. I will be making new posts whenever I feel like it, with no set schedule in place.

Anyways, we all have fond memories of Chobots.net, but it's time to say goodbye. Feel free to look into my memories tab to see some old pictures I took during parties and the open beta.

Culture!

Hey guys,

Well, it has been a week since the Culture Research Contest  started. That means the winners have been announced! Here they are:

                                                                                                     Spencer with Japanese Culture

Windwill with French Culture

Blackbery with Italian Culture

Great job with those entries you guys! For your hard work, you all get a scroll item, a flag of the country you researched, and some bugs/citizenship!

Now, to celebrate all of the wonderful culture, the Chobots staff has put in a ton of new decorations for each of the countries! Here they are:

At Location Eco, we have symbols of British Culture including a telephone booth and banners of the British flag on them.

At the Park, there are symbols of Japanese Culture with some lovely flowering cherry trees and the flag of Japan.

In Rockemall Street, there are symbols of Mexican Culture including colors from the Mexican flag and a nicho holding maracas!

At Academy Street, we have some symbols of Italian Culture with statues of Chobots and Italian flag banners.

In Shop Street, there are symbols of French Culture such as a cafe table and some French colored flags.

Lastly, we have symbols of Indian Culture with a statue of a Hindu god and banners with colors from the Indian flag.

All of these new decorations are really cool! What room is your favorite? Mine is probably the Japanese-themed Park with the Cherry Trees!

Interview with Thomas!

Hey guys,

I have recently interviewed the one and only Thomas! If you don't already know, he is the Creative Director here on Chobots. Take a look:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mimzy: Question 1: How did you find out about Chobots.net?

Thomas: I found it from a Skype status - specifically, Zoo's. It was something like "New Chobots (: http://chobots.net". As I have been playing since 2009 and I love it, I decided to join the game!

Mimzy: Okay - Question 2: What is your favorite part about being apart of this community?

Thomas: Honestly, it's the users! I think we have such a great user base in our community; they're all nice and real. I also love the team I work with.

Mimzy: Question 3: What is your favorite game on Chobots?

Thomas: Sweets Battle is probably my all-time favorite mini-game on Chobots.

Mimzy: Oh, cool. How come?

Thomas: It's very fun to challenge other players, and I love the rooms and it's an overall creative idea I believe.

Mimzy: Alright, final question: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?

* I had to leave after this question, so I never got an answer. I will update once I get one*

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thomas is a very kind staff member! He loves the community here on Chobots and I think he will bring nothing but improvements to the game.

     Stay tuned for more,

Robo-Factory Contest

Hey guys,

    There is a new contest going on in-game - a Robo-Factory contest!

The contest will end on January 30th - exactly one week from today, January 23rd. Robo-Factory has always been one of my favorite games on Chobots (along with Choboard and Sliders!). I wish you all luck in competing - I heard there will be some awesome prizes!
